Picking the perfect pet accessories depends greatly upon the type of pet you look after, since pet accessories for dogs are completely different to those of a cat or pet fish.
Your dog may feel happier going for a walk in the rain if it was wearing a small coat to protect its fur and keep it dry, such as for a terrier or similar breed. However, a large Alsatian or Great Dane might feel somewhat prohibited! Similarly, a dainty or light collar and lead are perfect for the smaller breeds, whilst a head harness or heavy dog collar attached to an expanding long lead are far more appropriate for the larger animal. Most dog supplies have a full range of collars and leads.
Dogs like to chase things and therefore a plastic throwing arm with a variety of balls make the ideal gift whilst providing hours of fun and exercise for both you and your dog, as you throw the balls for them to chase. Don’t forget to carry spare balls as they can easily get lost in fences, hedges and long grass!
Cats love to play with small furry toys similar to a mouse that they can toss around, chase and chew. Small, thin, light collars, preferably with a little bell attached to warn birds of the impending animal, are perfect for cats and do not impede them in any way. If you are really friendly with your cat, you might consider a little bow round its neck as a cute little pet accessory.
The perfect pet accessories for fish and other pets that live in the water are large stones or “sunken ships” where the fish can hide and even appeared to fall asleep. However mice, gerbils and similar pets fall in love with a running wheel where they can exercise and practice all day long the one minute mile!
